Healthcare Associated Infections Program

Alabama’s hospitals worked with the Alabama Department of Public Health to develop a program for reporting healthcare associated infections in Alabama’s hospitals. This program provides an annual report on hospital infections for four major categories of infections.

In a recent national report, Alabama was one of two states that performed better than the nation on three out of four of the categories of infections being reported!
