Need Blood Donations/Drives

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are critically low on blood, meaning the blood needed for hospitalized patients may not be available when needed. As the holidays near, we desperately need Alabamians to give the gift of lift. It may be the most important gift you give this year!

Important facts:

  • Nationally, there has been a 15 – 20 percent drop in blood donations due to the pandemic.
  • In Alabama, LIfeSouth, which supplies blood to the majority of Alabama’s hospitals, said it has less than a two-day supply on its shelves.
