History/Purpose

HEAL’s origins trace back to 1972 when it was initially established as the Alabama
Society for Healthcare Education & Training. HEAL is a nonprofit 501(c)
organization that brings together educators from diverse regions of Alabama,
including hospitals, schools, and healthcare institutions, fostering connections,
knowledge-sharing, and the cultivation of enduring professional bonds.

Mission

To offer guidance and assistance to healthcare educators in their endeavors to
assess, plan, implement, and appraise training and educational services aimed at
enhancing cost-effective, high-quality healthcare delivery.

Membership

Membership spans from January 1st to December 31st each year, with dues
payable once annually.

Annual membership fees amount to $25, payable once per calendar year.
