Jeff Samz Elected Chair of Alabama Hospital Association Board of Trustees

MONTGOMERY, AL – Jeff Samz, President and CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System, has been elected Chair of the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) Board of Trustees. The election took place during the Association’s Annual Meeting on June 5, 2026.
As Chair, Samz will lead the Association’s Board of Trustees and work closely with hospital leaders across Alabama to advance policies and initiatives that strengthen healthcare access, quality and sustainability for communities across the state.
“Jeff is an exceptional healthcare leader whose experience, vision, and commitment to providing quality care to communities across north Alabama is remarkable,” said Danne Howard, President and CEO of the Alabama Hospital Association. “One of the greatest strengths of our Association is that hospitals across Alabama come together to build consensus around the issues that matter most to our patients and communities and to speak with a united voice on behalf of healthcare in our state. Samz serves as President and CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System, one of Alabama’s largest health systems. The system includes 15 hospitals, dozens of ambulatory locations and approximately 22,000 employees across North Alabama.
Samz is actively engaged in leadership roles in many civic and professional organizations, including the Business Council of Alabama, the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Education Foundation.
