Inaugural Healthcare Leadership Summit Recap

 Friday, February 14, 2020

Hospital and mental health stakeholders met last week at the Renaissance Ross Bridge in Birmingham to discuss issues relating to Alabama’s mental health crisis. Panels of hospitals, mental health professionals, judges, law enforcement and legislators all shared their perspectives and thoughts on potential solutions. In addition, George Harris, the clinical lead for crisis care in Georgia highlighted the state’s crisis care continuum that provides crisis services in almost all Georgia Counties. The first Leadership Summit was a huge success in elevating an important subject and convening relevant stakeholders. As always, AlaHA could not host these meetings without its sponsor organizations; we are grateful for their continued support.
