HRSA Announces Funding Opportunity for Rural Communities

 Friday, February 7, 2020

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) this week announced a new funding opportunity to enhance or expand opioid and other substance use disorder services in high-risk rural communities. The agency expects to award approximately 89 grants of $1 million each for three years to implement a set of prevention, treatment, and recovery activities that align with the HRSA Five-Point Strategy to Combat the Opioid Crisis. Both for-profit and not-for-profit entities are eligible to apply as long as the services are provided in a HRSA-designated rural area.  An information webinar will be held on Feb. 25 at noon.
