Free Maternal Health Program for Rural Hospitals

 Friday, February 14, 2020

The AHA and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement have invited rural hospitals to participate in the Better Maternal Outcomes Rapid Improvement Network. This free, six-month program will focus on maternal outcomes and will assist participants in implementing improved care delivery for all women and newborns. Organizations will learn how to spread best practices and protocols through a variety of shared learning formats. The program begins in April and all interested hospitals may learn more or register here.

In addition, all of Alabama’s delivering hospitals are invited to participate in two important initiatives being kicked off at the upcoming Perinatal Quality Collaborative Summit. Both will be a year-long activity with coaching calls every other month, resources and some data collection with a goal of improving care to infants with neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome and moms with preeclampsia.
